An Indiana native, Dawn Barnes and her family moved to New England in the spring of 2005 after spending a few years in Stockholm, Sweden. Finding a church family was important to them, and they made MetroWest Worship Center their home almost immediately after arriving. Since that time, Dawn has been a small group leader and co-leader, children’s ministry volunteer, and has been serving as the Church Administrator and Assistant to the Senior Pastor since the summer of 2006.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics and a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from Ball State University in Indiana. Dawn previously worked as an editorial assistant for the Scandinavian physiology journal Acta Physiologica Scandinavica while living abroad, and is also currently contracted and working part time for the Chief Editor of the journal Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise.

Dawn and her husband Brian have been married since 2001 and come from the same small town in Indiana. They have two amazing boys, Isaiah and Luke, who keep them smiling and laughing every day. They love music, Starbuck’s coffee, sports and exercise (both watching and playing), and are loyal and faithful supporters of the Indianapolis Colts (sorry, Patriots fans)!

Dawn and her family feel privileged to be a part of the mission of MWC, to spread the life-giving message of Jesus Christ to the Metrowest area and beyond.
