Jason Gosselin was born on June 21, 1980 in Worcester, Massachusetts. Raised in central Massachusetts, he attended Douglas High School, graduating in 1998. He then attended Worcester State College from 1998-2002, where played basketball for the Lancers while studying Psychology and Education. He completed his time at WSC in 2003 with a BS in Psychology and a concentration in child/adolescent development. After 3 years as a middle school teacher here at MCA, Jason now works full time in the Educational Assistance Industry, preparing and mentoring at risk youth to take their GED exam, and improve their lives through education.

Jason began serving in youth ministry here at MWC in 2005, and officially took reigns of ACTIVATE youth ministry in March of 2006. Under Jason’s direction, he and his team’s mission is to communicate to a generation (the largest generation in our country’s history) that God is in love with them just as they are, and that He desires to know and be known by them through a growing personal relationship. “ACTIVATE doesn’t exist simply give teens “something to do” on a Wednesday night. Rather we’re here to change the way teens look at faith, and Christianity through worship, service and relationships. Christianity, was never meant to be just a decision that we made in church sometime, it’s meant to be a lifestyle we live each day! Our faith needs to be ACTIVATED! At ACTIVATE, we desperately want teens to catch this point! Their faith, and relationship with God isn’t just a decision they make at one point in their life, rather a lifestyle of worship, (FOR GOD) service, (FOR OTHERS), and relationships! (FOR THE WORLD)”

Recently married to Lilia in April 2008, Jason and Lilia are loving learning more about God, and His heart for His people as they begin their family and ministry together! Jason and his wife desire for their marriage (more so than any words they could say) to be one that is a positive influence on, and a positive example to the teens and anyone who encounters it! They also want their life to be an encouragement to teens, and show them that if they trust and delight in God, He will bless and give them the desires of their hearts! (Psalm 37:4)
