Our Worship Director and “master of the keys,” Rodrigo DeJesus, is what we like to call here at MWC a musical genius. He brings our service to life each Sunday morning as he leads and directs our amazing worship band. He also oversees some budding ministries such as our Ignite drama team and Hearts in Motion dance team.

“Dg” as we like to call him, started playing the piano at 4 years of age. One day he found his older brother’s piano unlocked and he couldn’t resist the urge to try it out. His mother entered the room and to her amazement found him playing the song “I Just Called to Say I Love You” by Stevie Wonder. This was the beginning of his love for music and the beginning of God’s call for his life. Dg has no doubt been blessed with an undeniable talent that ministers to multitudes.

Dg grew up in Brazil but moved to the United States when he was 15 years old. His father has been a pastor for 22 years and currently ministers in a church in Atlanta, GA. He has been married to his lovely wife Jussarah (Sarah) since 2004, who also serves in various capacities at MWC. They have both been with our ministry since September of 2005. Dg also loves playing and composing “movie soundtrack” types of music and he enjoys boating and water sports. He is also a black-belt in Kung Fu (watch out!).

When asked what he loves most about his ministry he said, “To be able to use a God given talent to usher in the presence of God for the job of the Holy Spirit to take place is the most satisfying feeling I can possibly have.”
