Company receives reimbursement for new-hire On-The-Job training

Congratulations to Leprino Foods Co. in Mecosta County for recently completing its Going PRO Talent Fund training plan for 8 new-hire employees to undergo On-the-Job training to learn how to do their new jobs!

This was the second time Leprino Foods was awarded Going PRO Talent Fund training dollars. Leprino previously was awarded nearly $17,500 in FY18 for PLC, mechanical drive systems and ammonia operator safety training for 18 individuals. This year's award amount was $13,000.

The fall FY23 Going PRO Talent Fund application period is open through Dec. 9! Eligible businesses can apply for up to $2,000 per individual (existing or new-hire employees) for training on a new or expanded skill. That amount increases to up to $3,500 per individual for USDOL registered apprentices.

If you miss it, don't worry! There will be a second application period in the spring of 2023 (more details to come)!
