Locally-Owned Childcare Provider Has Locations In Mecosta, Newaygo & Osceola Counties

Huntey’s Clubhouse has been shaping bright futures since 1995. What began with a simple vision in Mecosta County to provide a nurturing, safe and enriching environment for children, has grown into a trusted community resource for families with children ages six weeks to 12 years old across Mecosta, Newaygo and Osceola counties. Guided by the belief that a happy childhood lasts a lifetime, Huntey’s Clubhouse combines a play-based curriculum with high standards of care, ensuring that every child has the foundation they need to thrive now and in the future.

At the heart of Huntey’s Clubhouse are values that shine through in daily practice. Those values include ensuring safety, upholding integrity, fostering development, building community and cultivating joy.

Staff don’t just “watch” children — they care for them, encourage them and celebrate every milestone along the way. That dedication extends to families as well, creating strong bonds that allow parents to feel confident and supported.

Employees describe Huntey’s Clubhouse as more than a workplace — it feels like a family. They appreciate the flexible scheduling, the cleanliness of the centers, the supportive leadership and the strong sense of teamwork.

Most importantly, they feel heard and valued. Many highlight the professional development opportunities available, including apprenticeships through Michigan Works! West Central and scholarship-supported CDA credentialing programs. These initiatives not only help employees grow in their careers but also elevate the quality of care children receive.

Huntey’s Clubhouse sets itself apart in the childcare industry by maintaining high standards in everything from meals and activities to the warm, home-like atmosphere of its facilities.

The team is constantly striving to improve, both individually and as a business, to ensure they’re delivering the very best to children and families.

Thanks to partnerships with Michigan Works! West Central, Huntey’s has been able to strengthen its team through job fairs and USDOL registered apprenticeship programs that build meaningful career paths in early childhood education.

By investing in both staff and families, Huntey’s Clubhouse continues to live out its mission: creating a joyful, safe and supportive environment where children grow — and where those who care for them feel just as valued.
