apprenticeship seekers
ready for new journey?
Registered Apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity to earn a paycheck while gaining valuable hands-on experience and industry-recognized credentials. Apprenticeships can be found in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, skilled trades, transportation, education, and more.
However, it's important to understand that apprenticeships are employer-driven. To participate in a Registered Apprenticeship Program, you must be employed by an organization that operates a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Program or is working with Michigan Works! West Central to establish one.

How do I find apprenticeship opportunities?
While apprenticeship opportunities in our six-county region may be limited, new programs continue to be developed with local employers.
To search for current apprenticeship openings nationwide, visit the U.S. Department of Labor's apprenticeship website: APPRENTICSHIP.GOV
Not Employed yet?
If you're interested in exploring apprenticeship-related careers but are not currently employed, Michigan Works! West Central can help you prepare for future opportunities.
