CNC And Screw-Machine Shop Has Operated In LeRoy For More Than 30 Years

For more than 30 years, Northern Precision Products LLC (NPP), located on N. Mackinaw Trail, in LeRoy, has been producing world-class quality metal components. As a CNC and ACME screw-machine shop, NPP combines advanced equipment and decades of expertise to manufacture cost-effective solutions for both small- and large-volume orders.

Core Values Drive Success

At the heart of NPP’s success are its core values: Integrity, Continuous Improvement, Teamwork, Dependability and Customer Commitment. These principles guide every decision and interaction, ensuring customers receive reliable products while employees work in an environment built on trust and collaboration.

Building Careers, Not Just Jobs

NPP focuses on hiring individuals with machining, engineering or mechanical backgrounds, but also welcomes entry-level candidates who bring enthusiasm and a desire to grow. NPP invests heavily in training and development, helping employees build long-term skills and advancement opportunities.

“We want people who want to stay and make a career,” says leadership.

When reviewing applications, the company looks for qualities such as dependability, eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic. In interviews, enthusiasm and a genuine interest in building a future with NPP stand out the most.

Current Opportunities

NPP is currently hiring for positions including Machinists and Material Handlers, with wages based on experience. While the company does not currently offer formal apprenticeships, leadership is open to learning more about USDOL Registered Apprenticeships to further expand career pathways for future employees.

What Makes NPP Unique

As a proud partner of the Gent Machine Company, NPP draws on a combined 125 years of machining expertise. Employees enjoy a clean, well-organized shop where 5S practices are part of the daily routine.

In a recent employee poll, the top three things workers appreciated most about NPP are:

  • Stability – Confidence in long-term job security.
  • Good Atmosphere – A positive, respectful workplace culture.
  • Team Camaraderie – Enjoying the people they work alongside.

Michigan Works! Partnership

Northern Precision Products values its strong relationship with Michigan Works! West Central. Through job fairs and application support, Michigan Works! West Central has been instrumental in helping the company connect with qualified candidates. NPP has also taken advantage of the Going PRO Talent Fund program to strengthen workforce training and development.

When asked about their experience, NPP leadership said: “Continue doing what you’re doing! Kevin Welch is great to work with and seems to care about small businesses like ours.”
