Public Safety Collaborative About

ABOUT

Throughout the six-county region of West Central Michigan, the Public Safety Careers Council of West Michigan serves our public-safety community and provide a sustainable path for individuals to develop skills and advance their careers close to home.

Priority One: Help job seekers gain access and awareness to not only current public safety job opportunities, but also support them in developing a pathway to advance their careers in the fields of police, fire and emergency medical. We do this through partnerships with local education providers, programs and funding resources.

Priority Two: Helping employers find qualified applicants for their current and future job demands. We do this through an employer-led approach that identifies demand planning and connects employers with training providers, so as a group, we develop solutions to advance the public safety industry for our region.

We have helped numerous police, fire and emergency medical organizations find, train and retain qualified candidates. Included in these successes is a group of three local people graduating from the police academy at Kirtland Community College. Learn about their growing careers in the video below.

ADVANCE YOUR CAREER PATHWAYS.

No matter where you’re at in your career journey, we’re here to support you.
