Green Acres Assisted Living & Memory Care Has Been Serving The Community Since 2015

Green Acres, located in Fremont, has been serving its community since 2015 by providing quality care for the elderly.

At the heart of Green Acres is a mission to provide older adults with a lifestyle that values their identity, independence and dignity. That mission is reflected in the way the team strives to “do the right thing,” love their neighbor and speak the truth with love – working fairly and consistently, and focusing on finishing well. Leadership believes when the team puts these values into practice each day, it leads not only to better care for guests, but also to a stronger workplace culture and an improved quality of life for everyone in the facility.

Green Acres’ primary service is providing compassionate, high-quality care for the older individuals. Guests live in a retirement-home setting with individual apartments, and employees often describe the environment as a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere that supports meaningful, day-to-day connection. Team members value that they are able to spend time with guests, build relationships and deliver care in a way that keeps guest needs at the center of every decision.

When hiring, Green Acres looks for candidates whose experience and character align with the responsibilities of healthcare and the culture of the home. Strong reference checks (personal and professional) matter, as do relevant education and a skills list that fits the needs of elder care.

The team also considers context. For example, they recognize younger applicants may not yet have long work histories, and they take that into account during the interview review process.

In interviews, the organization prioritizes a genuine desire to do the right thing, a willingness to keep learning and the ability to work well as part of a team. The top skills Green Acres emphasizes include teamwork, positivity, and flexibility, which help create and sustain an enjoyable environment for both employees and guests. Staff consistently point to great teamwork as one of the most positive aspects of working at Green Acres.

Green Acres currently has openings for part-time second- and third shift direct-care workers, as well as a part-time cook position. The starting wage is $15 per hour.

What sets Green Acres apart in the eldercare industry is its commitment to providing quality care as an expression of faith and service. By putting guests first, the organization aims to deliver care that is both professional and deeply personal, supporting dignity and independence while maintaining a consistent standard of doing what is right.
