Company Receives Reimbursement for Training 11 Employees

Congratulations to Superior Exteriors in Mason County for recently completing their Going PRO Talent Fund training plan for 11 employees to undergo Operator Certification training!

This was the first time Superior Exteriors was awarded Going PRO Talent Fund training dollars. The total award amount was $16,225.

Superior Exteriors has experienced continuous growth since it launched in 2016. The company was quickly growing a strong reputation, and attracting more business than it could keep up with.

Completion of the Operator Certification training allowed the company to increase its booking and closing rates, which subsequently produces more work during winter months and drastically reduces the amount of layoffs the company issues during the off season. Eleven individuals received training to setup, maintain and follow equipment and process best practices, as well as standardized communication and performance procedures, which ultimately improved quality and industry competitiveness.

“The Going PRO Talent Fund has been a massive part of helping scale my company,” said Colin DeHaan, CEO of Superior Exteriors. “As a very fast-growing roofing and seamless gutter company, we need to be able to train up new staff quickly. These trainings have been instrumental in this process, resulting in our employees earning top wages in the industry, and our company being able to serve more people due to how efficient our staff has become. It’s been a major win for not just the team at Superior Exteriors, but our entire community.”

The FY23 Going PRO Talent Fund application period will be opening soon! Eligible businesses can apply for up to $2,000 per individual (existing or new-hire employees) for training on a new or expanded skill. That amount increases to up to $3,500 per individual for USDOL registered apprentices.
